Water Bikes

BASALT Six

BASALTsix offer a unique water bike experience from the River Bann in Coleraine. The Red Shark water bikes combine Cycling and Stand Up paddle boarding for a one of a kind water experience.

We are located at Coffee at the Dock opposite Mountsandle Fort, Ireland’s oldest settlement. A 1 hour guided cycle from the “Cutts” to the Old Bridge and back is approximately 1 hour where you can enjoy the tranquillity of the river with its birdlife and resident seals.

Coasteering is raw adrenaline; cliff jumping, bouldering, climbing, belly-flopping, get spun and pushed around in a wave pool, clambering, some underwater challenges and otherwise using our rugged coastline as an adventure playground. However, coasteering is much more than that.

For many, even just the opportunity to experience inaccessible, beautiful coastal sea caves, hidden coves and otherwise inaccessible little islands around our breathtakingly, rugged coastline is the highlight of their coasteering adventure.
